Kaisen Tei specialises in Japanese rice bowls, with the star of the show being their Signature Kaisendon ($16), featuring 3 different types of cubed sashimi – salmon, mekajii (swordfish), and maguro (tuna) – topped with fish roe.

Known as the “House of Hot Pot”, Suki-ya offers 4 soup bases for you to choose from – with the Shabu Shabu and Sukiyaki standing out from the others. While the Shabu Shabu is light and refreshing, the Sukiyaki is a richer savoury-sweet broth with a soy-sauce base.

With an interior reminiscent of the streets of Kyoto, Kuro Izakaya will have you surrounded by all things authentically Japanese. A top favourite here is the Onsen Tamango ($12), a small plate comprised of an onsen egg with various other components in a martini glass.

One thing you’ll notice about Kyoaji Dining is the close attention they give to the presentation of their food. And fittingly, it tastes as good as it looks.
