Just as the name suggests, Mr Goaty Gelato brings scoops on scoops of flavours made from fresh goat’s milk, all for your consumption! Rightfully named, this Marrickville store will bring you an ice-cream experience that can only be described as serendipity! This happy chance brings you a range of gluten free, vegan, Kosher, and Halal ice-creams for you to choose from. All of their sorbets are vegan, while a selection of their ice-creams is Kosher and/or Halal. For example, their Quandong, Pistachio, and Hazelnut Praline ice-creams are all Kosher, Halal as well as gluten free! Keep in mind not all of them have the same dietary ingredients so check the label or ask their friendly staff before purchasing!
This family run business began because Alix Mandelson was allergic to chocolate and couldn’t find a suitable option! Knowing the struggles of finding alternative ice-cream, she started Serendipity Ice Cream herself. They even host birthday parties where kids (or the young at heart) have the chance to come up with their own ice-cream creation to share with their friends! Another Newtown treasure but a place of it’s own in it’s own right! The Green Gourmet is actually a Chinese/Malaysian cuisine restaurant that serves exclusively vegan dishes. Green Gourmet is famous for their homemade tofu ice-creams! With several flavours such as Green Tea, Rose & French Vanilla, Maple & Walnut and Dark Chocolate, you can top off your meal with just the right dessert!
