Great place to dine no matter the time of the day

I have had the opportunity to dine in at this restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner on separate occasions and have found something to like each and every time. I would suggest that you venture forth and choose your own dishes that make you feel like eating. I can guarantee that you wont regret the choices you make and you will be converted in to a lifelong fan for sure.

Great food, great ambience and great music

It was another 'I crave for breakfast' day and without hesitating, I head to The Bee to get my fix. Their Bacon Pot Hash that comes with bacons, potato hash and sunny side up eggs is always my top choice. Their potato hash was nicely flavoured and their bacon is not anywhere near greasy (which makes you feel less guilty).

It's so hard to not relate The Bee to art. Besides their well crafted food, the ambience gives out a really artsy indie feeling and you'll never find their music on mainstream radio stations. Not forgetting, they always host Ice cream and coffee appreciation classes, comedy acts, music acts and even book swaps.

Price wise, it's a little pricy but their weekday set lunch is pretty affordable, offering a range of food from salads, burgers, pasta to sandwiches.

Probably the only thing I can afford at Publika for now.

There was once a time where my friend, who just came back from England, decided to bring me and 5 other people for a night out. With our 'anywhere-also-can-lah' attitude coupled with my drowsiness, we headed for Publika. It was the first time for most of us so we didn't exactly know what to do.

We ended up heading towards the first place that seemed familiar which was The Bee. I was pretty hungry since I just woke up so I thought, why not? I ordered a Swiss Cheeseburger which was priced about RM25 since it had both cheese and portobello mushrooms. The size of the burger as a whole is about the same as a Big Mac from McDonald's but beef was pretty thick.

The taste is on par with Chili's Old Timer Burger but if I had to choose, I'd definitely go for an Old Timer.

Handcrafted ice-creams with a unique blend of Malaysian flavors.

Few weeks ago, I was scrolling through my Instagram timeline and a photo of a cup of ice-cream that is Teh Tarik-flavored captured my attention.

I did some simple “research” on the ice-cream I saw and found that it is The Last Polka ice-cream served at The Bee. And yesterday, I finally got to try this handcrafted ice-cream at Publika. The interior of the restaurant has a really warm ambience with its wooden furniture, it has an alfresco area as well.

Since we came here mainly for the ice-cream, we zoomed in on The Last Polka section on their menu. There are two price ranges, RM7.20 and RM9.20 per cup, with the premium flavors being more expensive. What makes their ice-cream so special is the unique blend of Malaysian flavors, for example Horlicks, Teh Tarik, Pandan Kaya, French Toast and so on. If you would like to try alcohol in your ice-cream, check out the Guinness or Rum & Raisin flavor.

I ordered myself a cup of Salted Gula Melaka since it is the best seller according to the server. The taste was really interesting, sweet and salty at the same time. I love it and will definitely come back for their ice-cream!
