Charlie Brown Cafe, a themed cafe based on Peanuts comic strip, opened its second branch in Suria KLCC after the first in Penang's Straits Quay. This flagship cafe is tactfully decorated with lovely Peanuts characters sculptures and collector's items, offering a distinctive mid-market food and beverages.

This was the first comics-themed café I went to, and I was amused by their decorations there. The Peanuts characters are all over the interior design, furniture, and even food and beverages. Especially the hot beverages that come with a different cartoon character coffee art, and their cakes are decorated as well.
We did not order any food but only some hot beverages and cakes as we saw everyone else in the restaurant was having drinks and desserts only. The taste was not bad. It’s a cute place to chill out with friends indeed. Overall quite pricey, but worth trying at least once.

Mashed Potatoes looks like Ice Cream.
If you actually found yourself to be somewhat attracted to this cafe then chances are, you are either a Peanuts fan or a Snoopy fan. But do remember that this is only a Peanuts themed cafe so don't expect them to suddenly pop out in real life. It is a pretty fun and unique theme though.
When I was here with a friend, I had myself some hot chocolate and mashed potatoes as I wasn't hungry but looking for a snack. The mashed potatoes can be really deceiving at first as it looks like vanilla ice cream. The texture doesn't taste like cheap mashed potatoes like the one in KFC and it tasted a bit buttery. The hot chocolate tastes decent but definitely better than a hot cup of Milo. I might want to come here again to try their sandwiches as it looks pretty tempting.
Fun and relaxing.
I was surprised to see this cafe that opened recently around my area. Curious to see how good is it, I decided to try it out for myself. The whole restaurant is dedicated to the cartoon called 'Peanuts', and all their walls have their character's description written. There's even a TV showing the cartoon. Although it feels like a kid's themed restaurant, I still found the place relaxing.
I liked that you can choose a design on your coffee. The coffee itself isn't that bad as well, I find myself sipping my drink slowly while watching some of the cartoon on TV. The price is pretty much the same in comparison to Starbucks. In the end, still a very fun place to go for some coffee!
A fun-themed cafe
I first heard about this cafe after I saw some friends tagged photos of themselves posing next to a giant statue of Charlie Brown. I immediately made plans to visit the care at Straits quay over the weekend.
The store was filled with artwork and figurines of all sizes and shapes. All of them were related to the beloved characters from the Peanut's cast. To me it really felt like I was a kid visiting a store filled with my favorite cartoon case. The gimmick of the cafe doesn't end there however as I soon found out after browsing their menu. They had coffee in mugs and you could choose which face template you would want in the foam. I could pick charlie brown's face and have it sprayed in chocolate powder on my foam when the coffee arrived.
Overall, the cafe was a bit too pricy for the quality of food they were serving to customers. The cafe is mostly great for a once-off visit.
