I once had a chance to visit a friend who was studying in Taylor's lakeside campus and I had to say, the view was simply magnifying. Coming from a moderate family, I would never dream of studying here and I had to say, I missed out on a lot compared to the college that I am currently in.
The lake was just so huge! It does bring an ambient of calmness, perfect for someone who would like to take their time and study in peace. If you're stress out, just take a stroll around campus. Just looking at the mere sight of this place does puts me in awe.
The students here are also friendly as most of my friend's peers quickly open up to me. I guess they have nothing to complain about for studying in such a great and awesome environment such as this.
Lakeside Campus is Huge.
I've been to the Lakeside Campus of Taylor's University quite a number of times. A few times because of their open day and my last time there was because of the MAPCU tournament in which I participated. For a university campus, this place is huge. I have not seen a place so big since Segi University Kota Damansara.
I've always thought the restaurants here would be pretty expensive and since the food court is always full, I always end up at Subway if I get hungry. The view in this campus is breathtaking. It really makes you stay there for a long time. The people working the information centre are pretty helpful but the ones at the counter seem a bit lazy to me.
Astounding Experience with Taylors.
My experience in Taylors University has been amazing! For the past three years I’ve met people coming from different places with different backgrounds. Studying here in Taylors University has turned me into a different person from who am I before. I’ve found my future path to be a film director here, and after winning the Taylor’s Short Film Competition, it gave me more confidence in pursuing my dream. I was able to produce more film production with the guidance and support given by the school. To round it up, my experiences here in Taylors has really been one of a kind, and I cherished every moment I had here.
There is a price for good facilities.
I did my pre-U programme at Taylor’s College Subang Jaya, or TCSJ in short, for one year. Now I am currently doing my degree in a different university.
However, not to say the best but, Taylor’s has really good facilities in their campuses. I especially like the printing service in the library. It is quite systematic and organized as compared to my current university, although more pricey than you print it outside the college. But it all depends on your willingness to pay for a quality I guess? Pay and get your things printed within 5 minutes, or enjoy free printing service but have to queue up for at least one hour?
Besides that, I also like the 24/7 study lounge which can be a good, and safe place for a person who cannot focus at home like me. Safe because only students with identity cards are allowed to enter the college compound. I am not sure about other campuses though.
Best Facilitated University in the country
Taylor's University and College is the best facilitated college in Malaysia. If you have been to their lakeside campus and Sri Hartamas campus you will know what I meant by the best facilitated university in Malaysia. However, to enjoy the world-class facilities, one must pay the price by paying more course fees in order to study there. Personally, I think the cost is a bit expensive for those who come from the mediocre families but parents will not think that it is a burden for them as it is the quality of education that counts.
Taylor's should offer more scholarships as my friend, who is currently a Taylorian, told me that "t is very hard to obtain a scholarship from Taylor's."
