Carrefour is the pioneer developer of the 'hypermarket' concept in Malaysia and is a successful supermarket chain across the globe. Now taken over by AEON BIG, it is slowly being rebranded but it will always be known as Carrefour in Subang Jaya.

Another Childhood Memory
I was actually surprised to find out that Carrefour is slowly being rebranded to AEON. I always remember it to be Carrefour, the big building nearby Subang Parade. When I was a kid, whenever my family were to go to Subang Parade, we'll definitely end up stopping by Carrefour or vice versa. Why? Well, the supermarket inside has a lot of cheap groceries.
Cheap but in good quality. Their Carrefour original items are pretty good too, something Giant is lacking nowadays. In particular, the baguette made by Carrefour is probably the best baguette I've ever tasted, even better than Delifrance. Hard and crunchy on the outside yet soft and fluffy on the inside. I have never had bread that tasted so good in my life. The Carrefour in Subang is pretty much like a regular Giant Hypermarket. By that, I mean besides the supermarket itself, there's plenty of stores around.
Though the only one I actually care about is the McDonald's ice cream kiosk as I often stop by there with my dad last time while waiting for her to finish her grocery shopping.
