The mall houses a number of restaurants, all built around and inspired by the former St. Joseph's Novitiate - converted into St. Jo's. It is a mixed development comprising a 700,000 sq ft shopping mall, an office tower, and two high-end residential towers and is located on the last piece of retail land available on Gurney Drive. The mall has brought many firsts to Penang in terms of restaurants, such as Italiannies, Pacific Coffee Company, Morganfield's, and Brussels Beer Cafe.

This mall focuses largely on dining and not much on retail. The ideal way to spend my time along the Gurney Drive stretch is to do some shopping at Gurney Plaza and then go for dinner at Paragon. The many new restaurants here means more dining options for Penangites. With Italiannies and Pacific Coffee here, I don't have to travel all the way down to KL to satisfy my cravings anymore.
The concept of the mall is quite unique as it focuses more on open-air concept. It's a great concept but only on cooling nights with no rain. On sunny afternoons, it can be a pain to walk around the place. Nevertheless this place is breathtaking at night and especially during Christmas with the Christmas decorations and lights all up.
