Cheap clothes!

I am not surprised that KSL receives low ratings as it lacks variety since most of the shops here sell clothes. However, I am a girl so I love clothes! Thus, I quite like KSL especially since I can easily find clothes at RM25 per piece.

The downside is that the parking fee is quite expensive (I could not remember how much) but usually I come here by taxi anyway so it does not affect me. I would recommend this place to girls. Guys would definitely find this place boring as it is full of female clothes.

Short on fun and feel good factor.....

KSL City Mall is one the relatively newest JB malls in recent time..the main advantage of this mall is the short drive from Malaysian customs for S'poreans visitors, about 5-7min with waiting time at traffic junctions. Other than the short distance with it's convenient factor, the "pull factors" for shoppers hoping for a great time would be the wide array of shops and services....with many familiar brands like KFC, Manhattan Fish Market, etc for dining and TESCO as it's anchor hypermart.

What KSL City Mall lacks is the fun and "feel good" ambience, that encourages repeat visits.
It's interior with it's somewhat lower ceiling, small area...makes the shopping mood fizzles out fast. For comparison, another mall Aeon Tebrau City Shopping Centre (or Aeon Jusco), though about half hour drive away (with good traffic) definitely many notches above. The spaciousness, airy and bright interior (due to the high ceiling and layout of the bigger of area)...give shoppers the "feel good" factor..and for those who drives, the flat RM1 parking fee (everyday including weekends and PH) at it's huge thousand lots carpark !!! At KSL Mall, the somewhat dim, limited car parking and hourly charged fee are serious dampeners.

So what's good at KSL Mall ? The reasonably wide range of dining outlets, shopping, and perhaps also eateries within the walking distance from the mall. For foot and body massage lovers...there many foot/body massage shops offering great bang for your bucks. There is reasonably good camera shops stocking a wide range of equipment and accessories. At the MBO Cinemas, it's good for catching up on movies in it's clean viewing halls. And of course, good quality groceries at TESCO...

If you have not been to KSL City Mall...might like to check it out ...and see if caters to your whims and liking. For me, it'll be Aeon Tebrau City Shopping Centre anytime.

"okay" for shopping

It’s still a great place to shop, but as a Muslim, I was quite disappointed with the surau facilities. I’ve been to many shopping malls, even bigger and greater than this one, but never encounter such a bad surau facilities such as in KSL. The cleanliness of the toilet also was quite disappointing. For shopping experience, I do recommend KSL as there are a lot of choices and retail stores you can go to. The MBO cinema was quite nice but you may want to purchase the tickets earlier due to quite long queue even on weekdays. My family and I did have trouble finding an available parking space for a while and the parking fees was quite expensive.
