For Nature Lovers

We visited The Kinabalu Natural History Gallery before heading over to the Botanical Garden. There is a big info board detailing the distance between stops on Mount Kinabalu. An international climbing competition is held on Mount Kinabalu annually.

It's a 10-minute walk from the gallery to the entrance of the Botanical Garden. The path in the garden is paved, so it's not much of a hike. Our guide showed us some of the rare plants found in the rainforests of Kinabalu. We saw quite a few species of orchids and a naked tree, weird, I know. No Rafflesia in the garden, sorry.

The weather is quite chilly, so it is advisable to bring along a jacket.
