I had heard about this temple for many people and many who are not from KL. It piqued my interest so I asked a few Indian Hindu friends to take me on a tour inside the temple. IT was helpful because they acted as my direct translators as we walked inside the temple.
Some of the people praying inside were more than happy to answer my questions about their culture. They told me their story of certain deities and it was some sort of a cultural lesson for me. I felt good after listening and it made me feel like I was truly a part of the "One Malaysia" spirit just a little bit more. I realized sometimes just because different races speak different languages, we tend to ignore learning about them.
The temple had very beautiful decorations of deities hanging on the walls and the altars were decorated as well. It was a nice change from the usual Chinese style temples that I have been accustomed to for so many years.
