Expensive and Problematic
Maxis has been the brand that everyone in Malaysia with a mobile phone has at least heard of. No doubt at one point, it stood as the number one mobile networks provider. However, as time passes, it slowly began to deteriorate. I have been using Maxis's Hotlink as my mobile network provider for several years and I have experienced a lot of good and bad things about it.
There are a lot of times when my network coverage would suddenly disappear and I could not make or receive any calls or texts which was pretty annoying as it happens often. Furthermore, despite using prepaid, there are times when I noticed that my credit balance is lower than it should be. Mind you that I rarely make calls. A few texts should not cost more than RM5 which was why I was confused. Other times, these problems are non-existent but I'm glad I have moved on to another network provider.
