Museum with a twist
When one sees the word 'Museum', a few things automatically come to mind. Items are not for sale, you are not allowed to touch any of them and you can only see but not touch. Only the last rule applies in this case however as the i-box is a concept store that is also a museum.
What this means is that visitors are allowed to purchase any of the beautiful works of glass art inside. They also provide you actually services for glass such as sand blowing or glass coloring. This is rather unique as it takes away from the conventional use of the term 'museum'.Visitors have free reign to walk around and see the many works of art. The biggest attraction there is the huge batik glass which is a combination of small fragments of differrent colored glass pieced together. It is also very big.
I managed to get the opportunity to see how the artists design the new glass from a distance. I pulled one of their friendly staff members and asked them to explain what was going on. They happily obliged by telling me each step of the glass making process which was fascinating as he explained step by step according to the glassblower's action. It really put the whole explanation into perspective for me. Lastly, please take note that should you break anything, it is considered sold to you. So do be careful as you walk around
