A piece of Malaysian history that is everlasting

The KL tower is one of Kuala Lumpur's most famous tourist spots for good reason. Standing at such an awe-inspiring height, the tower is easily spotted as one makes their way into the heart of the city. Many people use it as a landmark when they get lost and I speak from personal experience when I say that the tower itself has guided me in more occasions than one.

That being said, I enjoy going near the base of the tower and then craning my head up to look at it. I feel small when I stand beside it and this makes me appreciate the building even more. I see it as true Malaysian symbol. If you have never visited this palce before, I highly urge you to do so the next time you get the chance.

A great destination for first timers in KL

It was a few years ago when I went on my first trip to KL. One of the place that I visited was the KL tower. I might not remember it so clearly, but as far as I know, I hated the queue at the entrance. Thankfully, it wasn't a long one.

I also remembered vaguely riding the elevator. They were super fast and I, as a child was astounded by how slow the elevator in my dad's office was. Pretty foolish of me to compare them though.

When I was at the top, I remembered asking my parents to rent one of those audio tour for me and I did followed every bit of instruction on the tape. There's also some telescope at the top floor and which requires a coin to activate. It's worth it though as the tour of the KL tower will not be complete without a view from the telescope.

The place does gets boring on a second visit. But if you have a visiting friend, do take him/here there.

Great Place for Families

Kuala Lumpur Tower is one of many great destinations for tourists in the heart of Malaysia. If you don't fancy the Petronas Twin Towers much then this might be the place for you. It is not as strict as the Twin Towers too. The observation deck has a great view of Malaysia and the higher you go, the better the view gets. It is simply breathtaking.

For the kids to enjoy, you can bring them to the aquarium there to see some fishes or bring them to the Animal Zone for them to see some exotic animals like the capuchin monkey. There's tons of other activities here for families to enjoy. Not exactly a perfect place for a hang out with friends though.

Fabulous place to dine

In Malaysia there are so many restaurants clamouring for attention that all too many fall into the trap of mimicking other, more successful brands and concepts and never offering diners something unique. More often than not, your ‘new’ venue is exactly the same as any other noodle house, or any other Italian joint. But one place that can never be victim of an impersonation is Atmosphere 360: surely the most unique restaurant in KL with one the most fabulous views to enjoy while we eat! We sat around 280 metres above ground level for a dinner! Not only is the view from the restaurant spectacular night or day, the restaurant also revolves, allowing us to have a complete panorama of the city. Almost every table in the restaurant is clustered along the window, so it is likely that more time will be spent looking at the view than down at your plate!
