Serving arguably the best tiramisu in Penang at least, this Italian place has two outlets in Penang island. one in Pulau Tikus and another in Batu Feringghi. It serves authentic Italian food and even has a wood-fired oven to recreate the taste of Italian pizza with crispy and chewy crust.

Not the best but quite good
Located at Belissa Row, this place is hard to miss with the Italian flag colours as the theme of the restaurant. I arrived there at about 6.15pm and the restaurant was fortunately still quite empty. Reservations are really recommended if you plan to go there later at about 7 to 8pm. The only complaint I have about the place is that it's too dimly lit.
The food was really good. Maybe except the risotto which was a little plain. The tiramisu, touted as the best in Penang is really smooth and pudding like. It doesn't have much lady fingers and is about 99% made of mascarpone cheese. I'm not quite sure how authentic that is but I know that a tiramisu should have both lady fingers and mascarpone. There's no taste of liquor as well. The pizza is thin crusted and a little crispy. There was a generous serving of smoked salmon and raw veg on top of the pizza we ordered. It was quite good but not really cheesy enough. Still it was a good experience having wood-fired oven pizza.
