Such a cozy restaurants
Like most houses-turned-restaurants, the cozy and homely feeling still remains as part of the ambiance at D'KL restaurant (short for Di Kampung Likas if any of you're are wondering.).
Most of the staffs here are Indonesian and they're all very friendly. For those of you whom would like to feel how it's like to eat with an Indonesian family, step inside the house and you will be seated in a long table with no chairs. Something quite familiar if frequent fancy Japanese restaurants.
For the foods, I will recommend to you based on the description of the food instead of the names as they're all in Indonesian and I am not really someone that remembers things correctly. Alright, first off, we have the Ayam Penyet. This thing was quite spicy. However, it's one of my personal favorite. Be sure to drink plenty of water though! Next, I also ordered a squid served with a sweet and sour sauce that consist of tomato, lemons and also some other vegetables that I don't recognize. The combination of the flavors really does make it one of my favorite. The rice here are served with chips and some pickles. For drinks, I ordered the bandung madras which is a rose syrup extract mixed with a dash of coffee. Be warned though, for the portion, the food are quite expensive in my book.
The services here are actually quite slow. However, I think that the food will be worth the wait in the end.
