Delicious!

It is no mystery that briyani rice tastes better than white rice due to the fragrance and the herbal essence of the rice itself. This added texture adds more flavor and enhances the overall eating experience. That is why I love eating here so much as every other side dish you choose to go with the rice such as roasted chicken, chicken curry and fish curry, they all taste so much different compared to your usual white rice. Love the variety that they have here.

Not so nice briyani rice

I love coloured rice. To be exact, most of the time, I would prefer rice that has taste embedded into it rather than plain rice. Briyani Rice is one of my favourite, especially when topped with curry and lamb. As I am used to the Indian Briyani Rice, I'm not so familiar as to how other places serve their version of Briyani Rice. JM Bariani House was the place that I got quite a surprise. The surprise being that Briyani Rice doesn't always have to be with curry.

I always thought those two are supposed to go along like buns and its cream filling. With Briyani Rice being the restaurant's signature dish, I thought 'what could go wrong?'. Well, for one thing, the rice wasn't exactly hot. It felt like it was microwaved actually. Secondly, it didn't taste like what I thought Briyani Rice should be like. And lastly, the portion was small. It was enough for a snack and not for a proper meal. Needless to say, I didn't bother coming here anymore.
