Come for the nasi lemak, stay for the ambience
Many people think it is ridiculous to go to a cafe or restaurant just to eat their nasi lemak. Well, I can personally vouch and say that anyone who enjoys a steaming hot plate of Malaysian nasi lemak should definitely come to this place.
I have heard of this place many times which piqued my interest quite a bit. I wanted to know why this nasi lemak was so fascinating. All i can say that once you taste the curry, you will never think about going back to places like Old Town or Georgetown White Coffee ever again.
A Surprise That Is Bound To Make You Come For More.
As a person who has been living in Petaling Jaya his entire life, coming here for the first time was a bit of a shock for me in 2010. I've been hearing things from my friends about this place, in particular, how delicious their nasi lemak is. When you have this particular idea in your mind, you'd probably be thinking how the place would look nice. Well, turns out it was beside the street in an open air area.
Despite that, believe me, the biggest shock that came to me was how delicious the nasi lemak is and the price that came with it. It would definitely put Old Town White Coffee's nasi lemak to shame. You can definitely satisfy your appetites with a mere RM7, even if you are a big eater like me.
I had the fortune of trying out the Nasi Lemak from this famed eatery. After hearing about this place for so long, I was relishing the chance to dig in!
The sambal was spicy, and tasty as well. Really one of the best sambal I've tasted in years. Sadly, this proved to be the only highlight of the meal for me. I found the rice to be old and clumpy, and down the middle, the rice was still moist and a bit uncooked. Their famed chicken wing was alright to me. I don't really have anything positive or negative to comment on it. It was an average-tasting chicken wing to me.
Perhaps my next try at this place will be better. I'm definitely willing to give it another try
Only the nasi lemak ayam is good.
I have been to this place for quite a few times but I have never tried their food before.
Last week, I went there again with my brother for dinner. This time, I ordered their Nasi Lemak Ayam, and my favorite Teh Ais as usual. Surprisingly, the food came very fast but it was cold, the sunny-side up egg, fried chicken, and even the rice.
Luckily the taste was not so bad. I think they added some Indian spices which has made their fried chicken smells good. However, the portion was quite small. But I can’t complain much about it since it costs only RM4.50.
Then, my brother ordered another plate of Indomie and it was very disappointing. Again, the noodle was cold and not even a little warm. Is it because they cooked their food earlier and keep it for later serving? I don’t mind waiting for good quality food, but I’m really disappointed with their service.
Their fried chicken is so nice!
This is where you get budget dinner for those who do not want to spend too much on a meal. This place is crowded with nasi lemak lovers when the sun goes down and the feast will only end about 3am in the morning. I was introduced to this nasi lemak when we arrived in PJ after 4 hours drive from Penang and I took three plates of nasi lemak. I was hungry but the main reason is their fried chicken is so special! I think they marinated their chicken with Murukku flour. Each plate of nasi lemak only cost you RM4.50 so I spend less than RM20 to get 3 plates with a Teh O Ais
