Forever 21 offers a wide array of clothing items, shoes and accessories, all neatly categorized according to style and colour. Before Forever 21 expanded its branch to Mid Valley (The Pavillion branch is a little far for me), I always find myself browsing through the US site and imagine what it would be like to actually wear those garments. While in the US, their pieces are cute and affordable, here in Malaysia, they're cute but overpriced.
I've been to the store when they have sales, but normally the sale items aren't that attractive. They seem like rejected items to me, honestly. The ones that are priced above RM89.90 though are the ones that actually look good. If you're willing to splurge quite a sum of money, then by all means, check this place out. They do offer a ton of variety with a lot of different styles that's perfect for every type of girl.
Note: I'm writing this from the perspective of a Singaporean tourist to Malaysia.
As compared to the outlets in Singapore, Forever 21 outlets in Malaysia are MUCH bigger - meaning a richer variety of accessories and clothes. Also, the currency rate exchange makes the clothes slightly cheaper in Malaysia. It would be a wise choice to make a stopover in Malaysia before heading elsewhere so you'll make sure to really stretchhhhhh your dollar. After all, Malaysia is just right beside Singapore; even flight tickets won't cost too much.
Forever 21 clothes are generally quite overpriced - but they are definitely fashionable and trendy. If you want to play safe with the latest fashion, Forever 21 is the place to go. I would recommend heading to the sales section first though, the clothes might not be on the first few on your list of favourites but they are definitely much cheaper than normal ones, yet equally fashionable!
I honestly think Forever 21 is VERY overrated. It might be a convenient choice because of the strategic locations of their outlets but I'd rather hold on to my money for clothes that are more reasonably priced. Also, their clothes are good for a 'chic' look but won't give you class.
I think the clothes here are expensive. The quality isn't very good either, as the material of the clothes are usually very thin and sheer. The dresses are usually expensive so I avoid buying dresses at F21.
F21 stores offer vast amount of clothes and it can be difficult to look through all the clothes as only a few clothes are modeled by the mannequins. I always give up after looking through a few clothes.
F21 has a wide selection of accessories which are quite pretty and affordable though. I once bought a pink plastic ribbon ring which was really cute.
Being a guy, I would be the last person to know about what a girl might like when it comes to their choice in clothing. So, during my visit to KL for my girl friend's birthday, I asked her to take me out shopping, my treat. And of course, the first place on her list was Forever 21.
From a distance, it seems F21 seems like the kind of place that would burn a hole in my wallet. However, it went better that I expected as most of the items there were on sale. Lucky me.
The clothes seem of a very decent quality and it does seem to be comfortable to my girlfriend. It's not a surprise that she chose this place as the first pit stop of the day. Style wise, I've seen better at places such as Padini. I guess sometimes, you just can't get style, comfort and affordable prices all at the same time.
Whenever I accompany girls for shopping, Forever 21 has always been a part of their list. I'm not exactly fashion-conscious so I don't really know what's so great as I only tend to buy clothes that looks nice to me. But at one time when I went to Pavilion, to my surprise, there's actually a men's section in Forever 21.
I got really curious so I went ahead inside. The clothes reminded me of a mixture between Kitschen and Uniqlo and had this slight metrosexual theme to it, not that I have a problem with that. The clothes looked pretty decent but the materials felt a bit...cheap. I avoided buying anything since I was scared that the clothes wouldn't last long. I still do come here from time to time just to see if I could find anything nice though.
The one thing I’ve noticed about all Forever 21 outlets is how consistently bright the stores are. It doesn’t make for a very good shopping experience, but it does grab the attention of anyone within a 100 metre radius!
That aside, I do like how big Forever21 Stores tend to be, it’s like a vast endless shopping paradise. I have to admit though, the only times you’ll see me in their shop would be during their sale period. Many of their clothing go off at such ridiculously low prices it puts me on a euphoric high.
However, when it comes to the design of their clothing, Forever21 wouldn’t be the top of my list, and the only reason why I patronize their stores is because I haven’t burned a hole in my pocket yet going to the other stores.
Personally I think its kinda hard for Asian to rock forever 21's lines. I cant exactly explain why though. Maybe its because of the over the top "latest trends", or the colors, or the fabrics or maybe its just me.
The clothing items are kinda pricey so you gotta dig deeper to get a good bargain. Should definitely check out the clearance racks, sometimes its worth the while.
Pros - F 21 has got a pretty impressive collection of inexpensive accessories. Their online store is pretty amazing. The deals are a little too good to pass. Should definitely check it out! (Y)
I'm not really into their clothes actually. Honestly, I think they are overpriced and you can always get almost the same designs in other shops way cheaper. So keep your money and feast your eyes on their accessories then.
For me, Forever 21 carries the best and most abundant accessories ever. Some items can go extremely low but as usual, some items are quite pricey. You need to look thoroughly for a bargain.
But, when the sale begins, the price of clothes and accessories are marked down tremendously, giving you a chance to get a bargain on your favorite items.
As the name goes, I found this place rather suited young adults best.
Even though I am a fan of shopping, I don't exactly fancy forever21's items all the time. To me, they are really pricey for what they are offering when they aren't on sale.
Forever21's accessories are really cheap tho. I bought a cute little necklace for only RM9 and even a set of 3 earrings for RM15! When they are on sale, you can maybe get some simple basic outfits for about RM40. But the chiffon clothings are usually priced at RM100+ and I don't think it is that worth it for their quality. Their shorts and pants are really worth it tho. Shorts priced at around RM70 and some jeans at only RM50. Would only go there during sale and for their bottoms.
The outlet at Queensbay Mall is known for bringing in a lot of clothing items at one go but they only cater to women. I have seen for myself the quality of customer service level that they enforce there.
MY wife and I had a problem with a piece of clothing of hers so we brought it back for a refund which they happily gave to us without any fuss. MY wife was a bit heartbroken as she wanted the item very badly and so it was to our amazement when the department manager at the main outlet in Kuala Lumpur gave us a call ,and asked my wife if she still wanted the item. The manager sent the item to our local outlet and my wife happily went and collected it.
This form of generosity and care makes us feel important and appreciated as customers and for that I am grateful. MY wife is now an avid shopper of Forever21 thanks to the little gesture of thoughtfulness.
