Serai is the result of a Malaysian family's fusion of Thai recipes and Malaysian delicacies. Eventually, it slowly adapted and assimilated western recipes into its repertoire as well. Thus began the major success of Serai.

Really Expensive Local Food
Serai is a restaurant I went, to be exact, dragged to when I was in Paradigm Mall. My friends knew that I always prefer eating western food rather than local food so they took me here. I remember seeing this place a lot on Instagram and it's quite popular among the people within my community. Sure, it's local food and yeah, it's a wee bit pricey but pricey can also mean tasty right? Well, not this time.
I had a plate of Char Kway Teow and Beef Satay. Never have I regretted ordering food so badly in my life. It wasn't bad but for the price I had to pay, I could find another shop that is cheaper, yet tastier. I could even go for Satay Kajang and I'll still plenty of money leftover. If the price is worth the quality, I would have no complaints.
At least the place is nice and the waiters are pretty efficient so that's a plus there. But to be fair, I wasn't in the mood for local food at the time so I could be quite biased on this one. Will try it again in the near future and see if my experience is the same or not.
