A pit-stop for hazelnut latte.

Whisk was a place that my friend went to for her date after her boyfriend came back to Malaysia. She posted this picture of a drink that had nutella in it. I got curious so I asked her on twitter where did she get such a drink? She then pointed me to Empire Shopping Gallery's Whisk.

I am a chocolate lover, so yes, nutella alone was enough to make move from my seat and into the car. However, by the time I reached there, I actually forgot all about it. Instead, I had myself a hazelnut latte. Now this is how hazelnut-based drinks should taste like. Unlike the hazelnut mocha chiller at Gloria Jeans which didn't anything remotely close to hazelnut, let alone, nuts. It was sweet, enthralling and made me feel relaxed almost instantaneously. It was the kind of drink that you'd want when you're studying.

Would definitely come back here to try that nutella drink...if I don't forget about it again of course.

The cakes need a major improvement

I love the ambiance of this place where it looks a lot like those oversea cafe which serves good food and good coffee. But sadly for Whisk, the food and drinks are just so-so.

With all those fancy decoration, frames and cakes on display, I was excited to take a breather here and relax with a group of friends. We ordered their chocolate cake and red velvet. To my dismay, the red velvet are too sweet but the cream cheese topping is acceptable. While the chocolate cake is just nice, but it's too dense to my liking. They should improve on the cakes because from they look so yummy I feel like buying every slice available on display.

Overall, I definitely in love with the whole cafe environment of this cute eatery. Perfect for girls to have some juicy gossip while sharing a piece of cake together. But that's all they have, just a very nice outlook.
