Pretty average I guess

I am no coffee snob so nearly all types of coffee taste good for me as long as they are not too bitter or too diluted. I could not remember most coffee tastes so to me, the coffee here pretty much tastes like the one at Starbucks (*evades coffee thrown by Starbucks' fans*). Of course, Starbucks has more selection of coffees which make it more interesting.

Since Coffee Bean is one of the most common cafes at malls, it is among the regular choices to go to for cakes and drinks whenever I'm in the mall. Whichever one has the better looking cakes, then I would go and have one. The cakes here are okay and I prefer them to the ones at Secret recipe (*avoids cakes thrown by Secret Recipe's fans*) as the ones at Secret Recipe are too sweet to be completely consumed.

Malibu Dream is the best

I don't really like this cafe as they're always too crowded or too busy and sometimes, the service is lousy. But I always come here to get my fix on Malibu Dream. This is the only drink that I buy from this cafe. I love how the blended taste of bananas and strawberries in a cup. This is a very refreshing drink during a hot sunny day.

The location of this place is usually strategic and they have a great atmosphere for patrons to hang around and enjoy their drinks. I noticed that this place is usually thronged by young adults and the ambiance seems perfect for this group to chill and relax.

I once had a slice of their chocolate cake and to my dismay, the cake is too dry and I felt cheated having to pay a lot for some measly cake. I wish I could spend the money into something else and bought a nice cup of coffee instead.

Heavenly Delight

Coffee Bean was my late father's favourite out of the big three coffee outlets, with the other 2 being Starbucks and San Francisco Coffee. Although the reason probably being the fact that his business partners tend to meet here instead of anywhere else, it is still a pretty good place for coffee. I myself like this place as much as Starbucks.

And just like I any other coffee place, I always go for the Mocha-based drinks and in this case, the Ice-blended Mocha drink. The taste is distinctive from Starbucks's Mocha Frappe but in a good way. It's smooth and milky, just the way I like it. It is priced about the same as Starbucks which is around RM15 but believe me, it is worth every single cent.

The only reason I go to Starbucks more than Coffee Bean is because it is just more convenient and nothing more. I definitely prefer Coffee Bean, much like my late father does too.

Just the coffee, nothing else.

I most frequently visit coffee bean. It has been my favourite place since my friends introduced me to it. I simply loveeeee their Cappuccino. Their recipe was done just right, making it so very delicious. I can't say the same for their food. I've tried their breakfast set before. It was horrendous. the toasted bread provided was too big, and the eggs was tasteless. I ended up using the chilli for some taste. The entire set looked very blend.

I find the atmosphere to be relaxing, a very good place to chit chat with friends and family on your free time. On a side note, you may want to try their ice-blended coffee as well. That is also amazing.

Best ice-blended coffee

Coffee Bean in my opinion, serves the best ice blended coffee. Apparently the idea of ice blended coffee also came from them, which explains why they're the best. What I like about their ice blended drinks is that they are really smooth and blended evenly, such that you don't have to bite the small pieces of ice that is quite prevalent in Starbucks drinks.

I love the taste of their mocha especially and I always order it whenever I visit CBTL. I also love that they've introduced yoghurt into their menu. You can choose between sour and sweet yoghurt and I always go for the latter because it complements the sweet toppings.

The cakes are also really good. I especially like the rich cheesecakes which can be too much for one person to finish. I recommend the praline cheesecake. It's really the best cheesecake I've had so far.
