One repeat customer guaranteed!
The discovery of Ochado was quite accidental to me, because I only stumble upon Ochado when I was walking around Tokyo Street in Pavillion. Ochado really fitted well with the area as Tokyo Street was meant to promote all things Japanese.
The first drink that I tried was Roasted Milk Tea with pop eggs(coffee-liquid covered in a thin film). It was a really great drink as the milk and tea tastes balanced out each other. I really liked the fact that Ochado's drink tasted original, compared to the others. On my second trip, I thought Roasted Milk Tea was a fluke, so I ordered Okinawa Match Milk Tea with Azuki Beans. From this drink, I know I am going to be a repeat customer!
Service staff were quite friendly and patient, and also helpful to provide suggestions. Though, I would prefer if there were more seats provided for customers who want to sit down and drink and the preparation of drinks a bit quicker.
There are too many competitors out there.
I first got to know Ochado when one of the outlets was opened at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall, and I decided to give it a try.
Being the typical me, I took a quick glance at the menu before ordering. Milk tea with pop egg was ranked number one. The staff told me that the pop egg is actually a thin film with coffee liquid enclosed in it, and they are only preparing limited servings per day. I felt like trying it when I heard the word ‘limited’. The milk tea with pop egg was actually not bad. The combination of coffee and milk tea is pretty good when the pop egg bursts. But the smell of their milk tea is not as strong as Chatime’s.
If I were given the choice between so many bubble tea joints, I would go for Gong Cha or ShareTea, or even Chatime, but not Ochado. Sorry, there are just too many competitors out there.
Tasty milk tea.
I had no prior knowledge of this shop when I first tried it, but I’m glad I did.
My favorite drink there and the only reason I frequent the shop is the Okinawa Milk Tea. I like it because compared to other shops, the taste of the tea comes through and the milk goes very well with it. The finished beverage is one that is slightly thicker and creamier compared to other milk teas, which is a plus point for me.
Currently, Ochado, personally is number 1 in ranking among other milk tea shops, I look forward to trying other beverages of theirs.
