Well known chicken rice ball

Hoe Kee is one of the well known chicken rice ball in Melaka. It always have a long queue, no matter weekday or weekend. The chicken rice ball smell tastes really good and the steamed chicken is tender and delicious. Besides chicken rice, it offer other dishes such as asam fish, or vegetables. The shop has a antique chinese building architecture too. It's recommend to have it in the morning, as less crowd and hence you don't have to wait for long queue. And sometimes they will offer combination of chicken rice ball and chicken rice, as limited number of chicken rice ball they offered to every customer.

Chiken Rice Balls with a Sour Twist

The rice balls taste really good. It is also soft and has a nice texture to it. The steamed white chicken is served with a soy sauce based gravy is soft and delicious. The black bean soup here taste really good too.

I had ordered a serving of asam fish and the fish is fresh. The gravy that comes with it is a perfect balance of sweet, sour and spicy. The secret here is to dip the rice balls into the gravy instead of the home made chili sauce.

The shop is a house with beautiful old Chinese architecture, which is a plus point.

Chicken Rice Balls~~~

This is the second restaurant I went with chicken rice balls. This restaurant is just located beside San Shu Gong. A lot of people are queuing for their chicken rice balls. I wonder how delicious is the chicken rice balls. When i first try, it's just normal for me, what I like is the gravy of the Hainam steam chicken, it was nice. Then the other dish that I cant forget is the Asam steam fish, the asam sauce is so nice that you can dip it with the rice balls.
