The Tip of Borneo
Named after the place where the lignering South China Sea meets the Sulu Sea. The Northernmost tip of Borneo or better known as Tanjung Simpang Mangayau (Lingering Junction) is one of the main tourist destination in Sabah.
It features a beautiful beach, a cafe and a souvenir shop. There's also accommodations located nearby.

The 3 hour drive from Kota Kinabalu to The Tip of Borneo is reasonable price to pay for this awesome and magnificent view. The northernmost part of Borneo however, is sealed off from the main road. Thus, one can only go there by foot. The walk itself was very short. About 2 - 3 minutes uphill.
Once you finish your ascend, you will be greeted by an open ground with a map embossed in a spherical shaped bronze figure that somewhat symbolizes a globe. However, you got to walk just a little further for my favorite part.
Pass the open ground, you will find a climbable wooden gate and also some stones leading to the Tip of Borneo. They actually sealed of the place as it was dangerous to go down to the tip. However, if you're feeling adventurous, you could climb the gate and walk down the stony slope to reach the Tip of Borneo. Now, as I mentioned earlier, my favorite part is the sea! It's one of the crystal clear and unpolluted sea water spots that you're able to find. It feels really good to be down there.
For those of you who feels fainthearted about this, there's another beach nearby which as almost as beautiful as the to the one located at the Tip of Borneo. I am sure that you have passed that beach on your way to the Tip.
