Delightfully Sinful.

The outlet at Tampines Mall is one of the regular places that I go to for takeaway - the Nasi Lemak really is so good that I keep going back.

They have two real highlights - their chilli and their otah. Obviously, they have quite a specialty in spice. Their chilli is appropriately spicy and very flavourful while their otah, which goes for 60 cents a pop, is unlike other otahs you might buy by the streets. For one, their otah is bigger, but more importantly, they taste so much better in terms of the 'kick' you get out of it and the flavour it contains. Their 'default', which is the fish otah, clearly contains the taste of fish. For 90 cents, you can also get rather unique otahs like their Crab Otah or Fish Roe Otah. The regular one already does it for me, however.

For under $4, you can get a full Nasi Lemak set which includes one (fish) Otah, your choice of main ingredient (i.e. Fried Chicken/Fish Fillet etc.), nuts and ikan billis and a packet of chilli. They used to allow generous servings of chilli, but recently they have unfortunately changed the system such that one pack only gets a single pack of chilli. I usually find that one pack is insufficient, so I end up paying 30 cents to get an additional pack. It is somewhat of a ripoff, but the fact that I'm willing to be ripped off should attest to the quality of their chilli.

It may not be as good as say the best Nasi Lemaks in Singapore, but it's certainly below average. Once in awhile, perhaps indulge yourself and get some takeaway from Lee Wee Brothers. Careful that you don't get addicted.

Great Catering!

This is a favourite choice of event organisers looking for cheap meals for their participants. Having participated in such events, I can vouch for the deliciousness of their food. Although I've heard the food is ridiculously cheap, it's mouthwatering! I try to go to their outlet at Tampines mall for my Nasi Lemak fix.

I'm a big fan of their Nasi Lemak, which is so much better than some of the dyed, oily affairs that you sometimes get at certain shops. The anchovies are very fresh and the fact that they use little containers to store chilli so it doesn't soak into the rice and make it soggy. This is definitely a good place to get your food catered from. I definitely look forward to eating food when it's catered from this place!

The unforgettable cheap Nasi Lemak

Lee Wee & Brothers Nasi Lemak is by far the best I have ever tasted. It is cheap and they offer us various side dishes to add into your pack of goodness. My favorite side dishes would be the fish cakes and Otah.

The rice itself is so fragrant that I can just have it together with the sweet sambal they provide! Their sambal is so popular that they even sell it separately in a packet.

The price is unbelievably cheap for its good taste as it only cost about two to three dollars per packet. It is a must try for everyone who likes Nasi Lemak.

coconut milk fragrance!

From 2 metres away, you can smell it! it's Lee Wee & Brothers's signature nasi lemak! Seems to me it's selling point is its' convenience with many small outlets all over Singapore & providing delivery service. The otah is tender soft, with a mild fish paste flavour, very authentic Singaporean otahs! The best part is the coconut milk rice wrapped in pandan leaves overflowing with fragrances spelling "eatttt meee!" it feels less oily as compared to other nasi lemaks which are dripping with oil especially from the ikan billis and fried chicken. however, it seems a little overpriced compared to other nasi lemak stalls and in fact close to twice the price. is the convenience worth the price? hmmm...

Nasi Lemak and Otahs!

The placement of shops in shopping centres are very convenient and I can easily takeaway my meals from them, some places even have tables and chairs where patrons can sit down and enjoy their meals. As a student, during camps especially, Lee Wee & Brothers is especially welcomed, they seem to be better than their other competitors as their dishes are more tasty and delicious. My personal favourite is their otahs. The otahs are so good that I am often not able to stop myself once I have started eating one! Their prices might, however, not be as competitive and affordable as other stores.

One of the better caterers

For students, Lee Wee & Brothers is more well known for their catering services as their food delivery is always a favorite amongst students. The food always arrive on time, and are also warm and delectable.

Although it is one of the better tasting food caterers, I wouldn't think that they serve the best nasi lemak available in Singapore. Their food although authentic, needs improvement. The coconut rice for example, can be quite dry sometimes and lack the fragrance. In overall, their food lack the freshness that other hawkers seem to be better able to provide.

Despite all that, it is still my number one choice when it comes to food catering as their otahs, fishcakes, and chili paste taste really hit the spot.

NASI LEMAK BEST.

Mention their name and I believe many will think of their aromatic Nasi Lemak. Not only do they cater, they also have booths and stalls around Singapore selling local delights from fried economic noodles to the nasi lemak topped with a variety of ingredients, from crispy peanuts and ikan bilis, a good sambal chilli, assam fish, crispy fried chicken and fishcake.

Though the price is definitely higher than that of the fare we can find in normal food centres, theirs is definitely worth a try. Packed in biodegradable paper packaging, their food is no lack of fans.

Asam Fish!!!

If anyone asked me, "Would you like to eat from Lee Wee And Brothers?" I'd excitedly answer back, "Yes! Asam fish please!!!"

Being a weird Singaporean who isn't a great fan of local food and delights, I especially LOVE eating Lee Wee's asam fish. It's just so mouth watering and full of flavour. I am also not a fan of spicy food, but I couldn't care less how spicy the asam fish is because I just love the taste of the asam. Squeeze some lime and the asam fish is PERFECTION.

Ahh, feeling hungry after reviewing this, but truthfully, despite being the weirdo Singaporean I am, this is really the only thing that I would never resist from Lee Wee & Brothers. Yes, I would eat their nasi lemak and chicken wings at times if someone 'dabao'-ed it for me, but the asam fish is truly the best Lee Wee has to offer, for me. Too good.

Nasi Lemak that makes you want more!

I am not one who usually eats nasi lemak due to the amount of coconut in the rice as well as how I find it rather plain and oily. One day, I was given a packet of nasi lemak from this stall (which is packed in cute little square boxes) and had no choice but to eat it. Upon eating it, I realised how tasty this nasi lemak is!

The chicken wing is crispy on the outside and has tender meat on the inside. The otah (which is known to be famous) is definitely a must try! I would recommend both the spicy and non-spicy otah as they are both special in different ways. The nasi lemak was served with some ikan bilis which has also not failed expectations - not too salty and crispy with enough flavorings. Lastly, the chili sauce served with the nasi lemak is also one of the best I've tried. The rice, which does not have much taste of the coconut (to my pleasure) goes really really well with the chili sauce! It can even make one want more nasi (the rice)!

My Favourite Nasi Lemak!

I've always been a fan of Lee Wee & Brothers' otah, the plain ones and the big ones in banana leaf. I love all their types of otah!

Have been wanting to try their nasi lemak upon seeing people buying boxes of it for takeaways. However due to the high carbohydrate and fats content i've been holding it back.

One fine day i gave in to the temptation and ordered their famous nasi lemak.
The rice was so flavourful that i finished every grain of it! Even though i know i'm gonna gain so much calories, it was worth it. The coconut taste wasn't too overwhelming. The chili isn't too spicy, it was just right!

Until now it's the only Nasi lemak i'll have from time to time, i think it's one that's worth the calories and fats gained.
