    My best massage ever
Seeing all the negativity on Jean Yip from past reviews, all I can say is that they’ve quite possibly improved. A whole lot. I visited JY at their loft for a trial massage just yesterday and I am more than pleased. I was greeted politely, by staff in all their smiles and was fussed about in my medical history and preference, ensuring that I get the treatment I’d be most comfortable with.

The masseuse who tended to me was real motherly; giving me tips on how to take care of my body, the things I should avoid doing to prevent my muscles from aching, if she was kneading too hardly and if the bed was too warm. YES! Their beds have warmers and that alone took relaxation to a whole new level. I never slept whilst having a massage and I did yesterday.

When we were done, she directed me to their V.I.P lounge and served me a cup of hot ginger tea along with a bowl of red bean dessert. Then I was given a feedback form to fill-out and was asked –just once- if I’d like to see a brochure on their student promotions. After kindly rejecting them, she thanked me for patronizing their loft and left me with my company. NO HARD-SELLING, AT ALL. Which was something I was clearly impressed of!

One of the best in Singapore
Jean yip has quickly become my regular hair dresser and with good reason. The staff there is rather poliet and they offer you tea if you’re made to wait for a hair dresser, and who doesn’t like tea. They also offer you magazines to read, which is pretty basic for a hair salon i guess.

The skills of the hair stylists are also pretty commendable. I permed my hair for the first time there and expected it to turn out looking extremely brittle and damaged after I was done, but they actually did a pretty good job in conditioning it and it turned out looking very healthy and bouncy.

The prices aren’t too unreasonable and for the quality they offer, it isn’t too much to fork out, and it’s pretty reasonable.
